Asset Seizures (Protection)
Currently Not Collectible (CNC) and Hardship Statuses and Collection Statute Expiration Date (CSED)
For certain taxpayers under certain circumstances, a determination can be made by the taxing authority that the taxpayer can ill afford to pay the debt as of a certain point in time. As a result the taxpayer may be placed in a CNC status. At other times, the law may prevent the IRS or other taxing authority from collecting the tax because the legal collection period expired. In this case, the tax collection is prevented by CSED or Collection Statute Expiration Date but ask us about ASED. The law also prevents collection of your taxes if collection would create undue hardship on the taxpayer. All of this requires analysis of the taxpayer finances and an understanding of complicated rules and regulations. 1 American Tax, 1 (833) TAX-KEEP, can get you qualified and placed in the right status.
